2017: A Year in review

This year has been a wonderfully busy year. We closed it out with working on a range of different projects from creating several Brand Identity Systems to some beautiful printed collateral and a handful of dynamic websites for 17 clients. That’s right, 17 clients in 2017! Ten of those clients are new to working with The Brand Stand, and the rest are part of our roster of some great on-going relationships that we’ve been nurturing over the past 3 years (The Brand Stand is turning 3 in June 2018!).

On top of that, we just launched this new website where we’ll be able to share more about each of our client engagements and some other fun things going on behind The Brand Stand. What else has made 2017 great for our team?  Our main squeeze, Ann Marie, got married!

Branding a Houston Restaurant

This year is one for the books as we added our first restaurant to The Brand Stand client roster! We’ve been working with Chef Stephanie Hoban of Ripe Cuisine, a plant-based food truck in Houston during her process of opening of her first brick and morter restaurant. With the big change of out growing the truck came complete brand overall, including an entirely new name. Verdine will be opening in the vibrant Heights neighborhood of Houston, Texas sometime spring 2018 and will someday become a nation wide staple for those looking to “Eat With A Purpose”.

More on this project coming very soon!

A DIGITAL HOME FOR PEOPLE’S TELEVISION

In Febraury of this year were able to launch the brand new People’s Television website we’d been working on through 2016. Their website is now a stunning showcase of the incredible work they’ve been producing for some big name companies you may have heard of like Google, Dropbox and Vice. Not to mention they’ve also produced some really beautiful original work like Valley of Saints and La Americana.

TAKE YOUR BRAIN FOR A WALK.

Meet Traipse, an app that helps you explore streetscapes, historic landmarks, and locally owned businesses while challenging your brain with fun puzzles and clues. Last summer we kicked off the rebrand of Traipse to focus in on some strategic brand messaging with a cohesive identity system to match. They’re growing quick, so keep a lookout for Traipse coming to your city soon!

EMIC FILMS

This year we had the pleasure of working with another creative content studio, Emic Films. Starting off with a Brand Strategy Workshop was a fun way to break down the overall direction, clarify our goals and gear up for the redesign of their new website. We’ll be posting more about the process and results of this collaboration but in the meantime you can…

REMOLDING A POTTERY BRAND

We had the pleasure of building out the Identity System for the owners of Austin Pottery as they revamped their Brand from the name of the business to the paint on the building’s trim. It’s only been a couple months and they already have some of their students buying the lovely shirts we designed to wear around in and out of the studio.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

What do you do when your personal trainer starts her own business? Design her logo! It was fun helping her take her vision for Enso Trainging and Nutrition and bring it to life as she got her online training program up and running (pun intended).

wild acorn wellness

Wild Acorn Wellness is the personal brand of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner and Yoga Instructor Jennifer Turner that we’ve been working to design the Identity Sytem for. Not only does she run Wild Acorn Wellness, but also teaches at Black Swan Yoga, and produces an incredible yoga festival Whole Lotta Yoga. This year we’ll be working to redesign her website!

Loot Rentals

It’s fun working with clients who have such high standards for style. We’ve been working with this wonderful team from Austin on a suite of printed materials to show off their gorgeous Loot. This year we completed their Fall/Winter Look Book and next up will be creating their Spring Look Book along with a couple other small thoughtfully crafted marketing pieces as they continue to break into the wedding and corporate industries of ATX.

Delta millworks

We’ve been helping this Austin-based family business share more about their techinque and experience by creating pieces that allow their stunning portfolio of their beautiful products in use to steal the show.  We’ll be sharing more on the work we’re doing soon, but in the meantime…

Jetrospects

Last year we finally wrapped up the website design for our client Jetrospects which we did the branding for in 2016. Be on the lookout for some updates on the UX/UI design this year!

TopTrainer

This year we continued to help our long time client TopTrainer™ as they grew into having over 40 gym partners and a network of trainer affiliates. Building out functionality for their affiliate program was the biggest technical challenge for us.

Glow Medical

We created the original Glow Medical Aesthetics branding back in 2009 when the business was first born. This year brought a lot of big changes for their company, a facelift overall with the expansion and renovation of their location in Houston through to a new website.

Insite Architecture

We’ve been working with the INsite team to elevate their web presence from a site built back in 2010 to a modern, responsive website. Stay tuned for an announcemet when it launches sometime this year!

Wink Medical Aesthetics

Each year we continue to help our client Wink with some small marketing pieces. This year we did another fun holiday campaign and some updates to their brochure. We’ll be posting the branding case study soon!

Penny Parental

We helped this Austin based startup with the design for a couple small marketing pieces to help share their message.

Pocket Healthcare

Last year we continued working with our healthcare startup client, Pocket Healthcare, to elevate the overall User Experience (UX) and Interface (UI) of their app. We’ll be sharing more about soon and the product is planned to be in the hands of healthcare providers and patients in the Central Texas area sometime 2018!

Thanks for stopping by!

What can you expect from us in 2018? We’ll be launching new exciting work, looking to grow our network of strategic partners, and are even considering summer 2018 internships.
